Privacy policy

Updated 18 October 2026.

Landywood Landscapes Limited ("we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

When you contact us or complete our enquiry form, we collect the details you provide: your name, company, email address, telephone number, site location and a description of your enquiry.

Ask Landy

If you use Ask Landy, the words you type go to our assistant service and OpenAI to write a reply. If you choose Talk, your live voice goes to OpenAI for transcription and spoken replies. The call starts with recent chat text after email addresses and phone numbers are removed; some spoken turns also go to our assistant service as text. The assistant’s own handover sends the written chat and call transcript to our team if you choose to send a note. The request not to keep messages does not cover the voice call itself. Neither Landywood nor HumanAmp records the audio of the call. OpenAI may retain call content under the terms and settings that apply to the service. See the Ask Landy notice for more detail and the email and phone alternatives.

Ask Landy service data

Ask Landy is run for Landywood by HumanAmp. When service analytics is available, opening and closing the panel yourself can send visit events, even if you do not send a message. Automatic openings and restored panels are not counted as new visits. A short-lived reference in this browser tab’s session storage can join these events to assistant requests. The service can record limited technical information, such as whether an answer or handover worked, how long it took, which pages it used and error codes. These analytics signals do not contain your messages, voice or contact details. They help us maintain and improve Ask Landy. You can turn this off for this browser at any time, and we honour the Global Privacy Control signal if your browser sends it. Questions: ask@landywood.co.uk.

The control to turn it off is in the Ask Landy notice.

Website enquiries and the alternative to assistant handover

If you use the website’s Email or callback journey, or choose the website alternative in an Ask Landy note, the details and summary you review are sent to our website intake, hosted on Netlify Functions. When that intake is available and accepts your enquiry, it stores the enquiry in Netlify Blobs and uses Resend to notify the team by email. This website route sends the reviewed summary and contact, site and service details, rather than the full assistant conversation. It does not automatically send you a copy or a saved-enquiry link. A stored enquiry can have an unconfirmed email notification; the result on the page distinguishes these outcomes.

This is separate from the assistant service described above. Clearing the chat does not delete an enquiry you have already sent. Accepted website records do not expire automatically; contact us using the details below if you need help with information you have submitted.
